Welcome to Geneva! Situated along the Lake Leman, at the foot of the Alps and the Jura. Home to the European headquarters of the United Nations, Geneva has a long history of diversity and tolerance dating back to the Protestant Reformation.
Geneva is not especially known for its architecture. Most new arrivals in the city head for the old town on the hill and its medieval and Renaissance buildings when they want to see Geneva’s attractions. But there are colorful interesting buildings all over the town. Most of the time they are not noticed, people miss to look above them which leads me to create this new series.
The Marché International de Rungis (or Rungis International Market) is the principal market of Paris, France. It is the largest wholesale food and flower market in the world.
Since its origins in the 10th century, the central market of Paris was located in the centre of the city, in a 10-hectare area named Les Halles. It became too small to accommodate all of the business demand, and, in 1969, the market was transferred to the suburbs. Rungis has been selected because of its easy access by rail and highway and its proximity to Orly International Airport.
In collaboration with Alain Riad, a talented illustrator, we created this set imaginary world. All drawings are created with a simple pencil. The goal was to make kids like, as much as adults, enjoy family photography.
This is an ongoing set. Contact me if you are interested in getting your own Family Portrait.
Celia was willing to have her pregnancy immortalised while enjoying some time off in the South of France. I wanted to highlight the beauty found in the place we were by playing with natural light.
